NORFOLK, Va. — Reed & Associates Marketing (R&A), a full-service marketing, advertising and public relations agency, joined hundreds of supporters across Hampton Roads on Friday, March 20, 2015, for the inaugural Suds & Buds event hosted by the Rotary Club of Norfolk, Norfolk Botanical Garden and the Foodbank of Southeastern Virginia and the Eastern Shore.
Suds & Buds, an exciting new event that aims to raise funds for nonprofits throughout Hampton Roads, was put on by the partnership between the Rotary Club of Norfolk, Norfolk Botanical Garden and a third charitable partner that rotates each year. For 2015, the special charitable partner was the Foodbank of Southeastern Virginia and the Eastern Shore. Over 350 supporters attended in an effort to raise funds to be shared by the three organizations.
“Suds & Buds is a rare occurrence where three nonprofits come together to help promote and fundraise for their organizations,” said Ashley Knepper, co-founder and president of Reed & Associates Marketing. “We were ecstatic to be a part of the first ever event, working with the Rotary Club of Norfolk and Norfolk Botanical Garden, and look forward to being a part of the event for years to come.”
In addition to being a Gold Level Sponsor for the event, R&A assisted the Rotary Club of Norfolk and Norfolk Botanical Garden with event logistics and vendor management, as well as the marketing and promotion for the special event. The Rotary Club of Norfolk is added to the list of nonprofit partnerships the organization supports. The company chooses to donate time, professional services and financial contributions to assist various philanthropic organizations, including St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital®, Girls on the Run, Foodbank of Southeastern Virginia and the Eastern Shore, VOLUNTEER Hampton Roads and The Virginia Gentlemen Foundation. As a result of their philanthropic endeavors, the team was recently named a 2014 Corporate VOLUNTEER Excellence Award honoree.
