NORFOLK, Va. — Reed & Associates Marketing, Inc. (R&A), a full-service marketing, advertising and public relations agency, joined hundreds of supporters across the country on Saturday, November 22, 2014, for the St. Jude Give thanks. Walk.™. This was the fifth year the Reed & Associates Marketing team has participated in the event benefiting St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital®.
Since 2008, Reed & Associates Marketing has partnered with national client Window World, Inc. to support the St. Jude mission to find cures and save children battling cancer and other life-threatening diseases. Last year, Reed & Associates Marketing was the top fundraiser of all Hampton Roads teams. Continuing the streak, the organization was named the top corporate fundraiser out of 87 total area teams, with $13,521 accounting for 19 percent of the total local funds raised at the time of the walk. Additionally, this year Ashley Knepper, co-owner and president of Reed & Associates Marketing, was named the top individual fundraiser for the seven cities.
“A cornerstone of Reed & Associates Marketing’s business philosophy has always been to give back,” said Knepper. “We find great pleasure in our role as philanthropic advocates for St. Jude and are incredibly proud to represent five of the top 10 Hampton Roads individual fundraisers for the walk this year.”
The Reed & Associates Marketing commitment has not gone unnoticed as the company was recently recognized as a 2014 Corporate VOLUNTEER Excellence Awards honoree in the small business category. The awards identify companies that have made a commitment to building strong and effective employee volunteer programs.
Next week the team is making a trip to St. Jude in Memphis, Tennessee, where they will spend time with patients and families receiving treatment at the hospital, delivering holiday gifts and participating in arts and crafts.
