NORFOLK, Va. — Reed & Associates Marketing (R&A), a Norfolk-based marketing, advertising and public relations agency, announces its continued support of the annual Suds & Buds event as a marketing partner for 2016. The company provided marketing support through creative, social media and public relations initiatives. 
Suds & Buds, a fun event that raises funds for nonprofits throughout Hampton Roads, is put on by the partnership between the Rotary Club of Norfolk, Norfolk Botanical Garden and a third charitable partner that rotates each year. This year’s special charitable partner, Primeplus NSC is an organization committed to providing opportunities for older persons to continue to grow and contribute to their community while living life to the fullest.
Continuing from its partnership in 2015, R&A worked with the Rotary Club of Norfolk to garner exposure for the May 13, 2016, event through strategic marketing tactics. “It is a joy to work with the Rotary Club of Norfolk and Norfolk Botanical Garden, and help raise awareness for so many wonderful nonprofits in our community,” said Ashley Knepper, co-founder and president of Reed & Associates Marketing.
Last year, the Suds & Buds event was a sold out evening with over 350 attendees. In 2016, attendance grew to over 450 guests; a 29% increase. “We are very excited about the outcome of this year’s event and look forward to raising that bar in 2017,” added Knepper.
For the last eight years, R&A team members have collaborated with various nonprofits, including St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital®, Foodbank of Southeastern Virginia and the Eastern Shore, Norfolk SPCA, Girls on the Run South Hampton Roads, VOLUNTEER Hampton Roads, The Virginia Gentlemen Foundation, Operation Homefront and the Hampton YMCA. The company is pleased to add Primeplus NSC to the list of philanthropic organizations it supported.
